Hello, everyone,
You are receiving this email because one or more of your direct reports is an employee on a visa.
If your direct report is planning on traveling abroad, please note that due to the pandemic, the US consulates are operating with limited visa appointment availability depending on the specific country conditions.
If your direct report on a visa is planning to travel abroad and need to apply for an H1B, J1 or F1 visa at a US consulate, please have them check the visa appointment wait times in the website of the US Department of State:
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
This site will provide the approximate wait time to get a visa appointment for the specified US consulate.
For example, if
they plan to apply for a visa in the US consulate in London, type in London in the search box and
they will see the information below:
The US consulate in London has emergency appointments only.
Expedited interview appointments are available in emergency cases such as a funeral, medical emergency or school start date.
Additional information about qualifications for an expedited interview appointment, administrative processing are available using the same DOS website link.
For specific information about the current status and procedures for a specific US consulate, please check the website of the specific US consulate using this link: https://www.usembassy.gov/
For inquiries regarding visa impacts of foreign travel, please contact OIS AT bnl.gov.
Thank you.
Regards,
Margie
