                BNL OEP sent the lists of available students for the fall internship.   Erica sent an email on June 29 about the time line.

Dear Department and Division Heads and Senior Leaders,

 

My Ask:  Please forward this message to your scientific and engineering staff:

 

We are working to place our DOE fall college interns and have quite a good number of funding slots still available.  This is a more limited pool than the summer program, but often includes graduating seniors ready for grad school.   There are also a few from community colleges with an interest. We anticipate the programs will support on site participation, but may also accommodate remote internships. 

 

Our team has taken the liberty of pulling student information out of the DOE database for your perusal to see if some of them might be a good fit for projects you have.  We have categorized them based on their stated interest and we can select from those that chose BNL as a first choice or a second choice. I am asking that you share these student profiles with your scientific and engineering staff for consideration of hosting a student (or multiple students) this fall.   If they are interested and already listed as a previous DOE mentor they can go into the DOE system and make a selection.  If they are not in the system, or need assistance getting into the system, they should reach out to Karl Clarke (cc’ed here) or others cc’ed for guidance.

 

We very much appreciate your support of the program and of the students who are seeking to be part of our BNL community.
