Dear ICFA members and participants of the software panel discussion last week -

I attach here the second version of a draft mandate for a new (and combined, with DPHEP and SCIC) ICFA panel on data, software and computing (v1 was the one we discussed last week).

This draft is distributed here to the iCFA members in preparation of the agenda slot on Sunday in Melbourne, and for the discussion participants to give further feedback (note that v2 contains our best effort of including all your comments).

As discussed last week, we suggest the following future steps:

- Discussion in Melbourne on 16 July - taking into account also the input we receive until then

- between July and November: finalisation of the draft together with prospectve members of a future panel

- Decision by ICFA, and ICFA statement on the matter, at the ICFA seminar in Hamburg in November (dear ICFA members, please note that we envisage a closed ICFA meeting in Hamburg on the late afternoon of Monday, 27 November).

Looking forward to your feedback and to discussing further -

kind regards

Stuart & Thomas
