It is my assessment that the review outcome was mostly what was hoped for - an acknowledgement that DUNE had a good grasp on a viable DUNE computing model with a core team that was competent but clearly not sufficient to the task and recommendation to proceed towards developing the management plan and organization, bringing more personnel on board and support for the R&D we need in the areas we had identified that badly needed extra work ...i.e. the committee mostly indicated we are would be ready to start the S&C operations program if we get the management and operations plan in place. We have 6 months to do this and this what DOE wanted to hear.

My big concerns after the bad practice review was that we would go into this review and come out with a lot of questions about whether the S&C model was viable and not having convinced them we are ready to start organizing the full blown operations program and we seem to avoided that.  It was clear going into the review that we had a weak point with not enough international involvement in personnel and that is reflected in the recommendations. We will be far more successful with DOE if we can use our expertise and connections not just to get BNL more involved but to also help us engage more international experts in S&C efforts. Fermilab leadership is moving to assert more control and right now is practically trying to dictate the DUNE operations so we need to work to make sure this is a distributed multi-national effort and multi-lab effort (in the US). There is plenty of work for FNAL to do and a lot of good people there that we need.

Thank you for the document. Over it sounds as positive evaluation of DUNE computing and plans, while recommends further and more specific development.
