Sasha Bazilevsky will summarize his studies on how shower profile measurements in the barrel EMCal can advance pi0/photon identification and help e/h discrimination.

John Lajoie will talk about the sPHENIX de-scoping exercise and lead a discussion on its impact on the proposed sPHENIX 'cold-QCD' measurements.
