Dear Christine,
thank you for important information. I hope that there will be the possibility for remote participation via BlueJeans or something else. This option would be very helpful. Thanks.

Dear all,
We will have a two-day workfest at BNL, Sunday, June 3 and Monday,
June 4, to finish up anything that might be needed for the PAC
presentation on June 7 and work on further studies as well as writing
for the LOI due September 30th. We realize that this is relatively
short notice, and that Monday the 4th conflicts with the GPD workshop
at the Stony Brook Center for Frontiers in Nuclear Science. However,
we decided that setting aside a couple of dedicated days in June to
work on the LOI would be valuable, and the two days before the sPHENIX
Collaboration meeting at BNL were logical. Some individuals who will
be traveling for the GPD workshop on Monday may also be able to
participate on Sunday.
The nominal hours both days will be 9 am - 5:30 pm, but anyone who is
interested and can come for a few-hour block at any point is most
welcome to join the efforts. If you think you may join, please let
Nils and me know so that we have a sense of how many people to expect
and can better coordinate the work given the particular individuals
who will be there. In general, we anticipate working on some full
GEANT studies for "core observables" that we may not complete for the
PAC meeting, generator-level and/or GEANT studies for additional
observables beyond the core ones we are preparing for the PAC meeting,
and writing text for the LOI document itself. We also welcome efforts
to develop more advanced GEANT implementations of various
subdetectors, more advanced reconstruction algorithms for the
simulations, further consideration of things like electronics,
readout, and triggering, etc.
Best regards,
Christine and Nils
