Hi,

A few details for those coming to Urbana for the EMCal workfest.

First to get here it is possible to fly directly into Champaign (CMI) and take a taxi into town.  The other option is to fly into either of the Chicago airports and rent a car.  It is a 2-2.5 hour drive from the airports to Urbana-Champaign.

The most convient place to stay is the Hampton Inn in Urbana.  We have a rate of $105 per night (call 217-337-1100 for reservations before 7/14).  From there it is a 5-10 minute walk to the physics building.  It is also possible to stay at the Comfort Inn in Urbana (call 217-328-3500 for reservations 7/20).  They have a shuttle bus to campus.

We’re looking forward to seeing people in Urbana next month!

Best,
Anne

Hi,

We’d like to invite all interested parties to Urbana for a two day sPHENIX EMCal workfest August 13-14.  We will discuss all aspects of the sPHENIX EMCal including: current module construction progress, design and construction of 2D projective module, plans and preparations for test beams at Fermilab in 2016 and simulation, etc.

If you plan on attending, please email Craig Woody and myself (Anne) to help plan our time.

Best,
Anne & Christine
