Dear John, all,

Sorry for my late comments. I took a look a look through the emcal section and made a few minor edits on overleaf but have a few other comments.

-Figure 5.4: The image on the right isn't really described in the text or the caption
-lines 2692-2697 & 2750 &2764 Make reference to other experiments and beam tests; Should these be actual citations?
-section 5.3.6 is only one sentence on the electron identification. Can more be filled in here?

Best,
-Megan

Hello again,

Thanks to all the people who read, commented on, and corrected the pCDR
document, it has come together into a very useful snapshot of our
thinking about the sPHENIX detector with some detailed technical
descriptions of simulations and prototypes and designs.  The one week
comment period is now over, and we plan to make a final edit and set of
corrections shortly and then make it available to the review committee.

It's not the end, but the beginning of some very serious thinking about
how we will build the sPHENIX detector, and probably anyone who
contributed to pCDR recognizes better what they can do to design and
build a truly world-class second generation RHIC experiment.
