John, sorry for missing meeting - we are completing local setup to get rid of pickup - hope hot sport at fiber exits will disappear too. I attach few pictures from UNIPLAST - they do now have grooving equipment of their own and learned how to groove inclining groves. We now may have fibers positioned to exactly our needs (preferable obviously be right-left symmetric). The cut-off for bulk light suppression plug can be done while cutting the tile or at a time of grooving. I am not sure what is preferable.
I also looked through your slides - one comment:
- When calorimeter is tilted the virtual collision vertex may move (or may not is Richie took care of it location) along the beam line. To be perfect - we would like to have silicon at exactly the location of that virtual collision point. I was asking Richie to work it out and provide the table so we will be able to adjust silicon position depending on tilt angle (if needed).
Do we have cosmic data for large production tiles. What’s the current judgement on light yield difference small-large.
