Hi Virginia,
I think the overall resolution for the lead glass looks quite good and very reasonable given what we expect for the intrinsic resolution of the block itself and the beam energy spread. Oleg measured 5.4%/SQRT(E) + 1.9% so I'd say we're consistent with his measurements.

Cheers,
Craig

Hi Jin,

The reason the two are different is that there were actually two 1GeV runs at 1200V, but one of them, run 2300, had a strange looking energy distribution (see attached) so I excluded it from the plot.  I forgot to exclude it from the combined runs though, which I have now fixed.

Thanks for catching that!
Best,
Virginia

Hi, Virginia

Thank you for the update. Nice job!

Meanwhile, could you double check 1200V point at 1 GeV/c? It apparently jumps from 9.5% on page 7/8 to 6.4% on page 10.

Cheers

Jin

Hello all,

Attached are some slides documenting the analysis of the lead glass runs from the testbeam.  We used the same analysis macro used for finding the resolution of the calorimeter to find the PbGL resolution, both individually for the 1100V runs and 1200V runs and with the two sets combined.  Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Best,

Virginia
