I'm not superstitious, but it seemed to tempt fate to report on the status of the calorimeter beam test on Friday the thirteenth. So here's the summary of where we are:
- the truck from Pedowitz was loaded at BNL on Tuesday
- the truck arrived at Fermilab on Thursday morning and was unpacked
- I unpacked as much as possible with Todd's help
- I wired up and turned on the DAQ, the Outer HCAL, and EMCAL3 in the staging area
- a few things needed some persuasion, but I've now seen LED's on all tiles in the Outer HCAL and EMCAL3 on a 'scope
- the repair of the septum magnet was completed and AD was running MTEST from about 6pm Friday night
- the CMS outer tracker test (T-1209) was attempting to restart their test on Friday night and finish before we install
- the target date for installation in the enclosure is next Wednesday, January 18 with the safety review on Thursday, January 19
