Dear colleagues,

I just uploaded our new internal note "Pre-beam maps of the sPHENIX electromagnetic calorimeter" to the new sPHENIX note webpage:

We tried to compile the available information about the EMCal before the first full calibration and RHIC beams. The note describes the EMCal geometry, construction and some first pre-calibration and provides maps on absorber block and (where available) channel level in the now available measurement categories, including cosmic MPV.

The idea was to have it serve as a starting ground for newcomers including students, instead of having to dig through various documents (like TDR, BUP, test beam papers, which are cited and should of course be looked at for more details), to add information nowhere to be found yet, and to provide detailed information for the experts.
