John,

I think my setup is accurate to ~ 2nm  - there is a +2nm shift between what I set the monochromator to, and what I measure with the spectrometer. Without a calibration lamp, I can't tell whether the shift is from the monochromator or the spectrometer. I checked a sample of Y11 from a previous order and get a similar peak at ~500nm. I sent an email to the Kuraray Sales rep to see if he can explain the difference between the 2 plots in their literature.

I also didn't see any red flags, but as John H points out, the specified emission for the fiber is not 100% clear. Kuraray lists the peak emission as 476nm, and that agrees with the lower left plot on slide 1 (from their product info). The emission that I measure looks more like the other spectrum shown in their literature (top right of slide 1), which peaks at ~ 500nm.
