Dear HCAL’ers:

At last week’s meeting we discussed holding a separate meeting with Uniplast and MEPHI regarding the iHCAL tile R&D. This meeting was held on Friday the 21^st. I have collected the slides shown by MEPHI, Uniplast and GSU and created an Indico page to document the meeting at:

I have also included some notes as it will likely be hard to follow the topics discussed from just the slides. The bottom line is that the R&D is complete and has been successful in developing a method to reduce the “hot spot” on the iHCAL tiles by cleaning coating from the tile in a triangular region where the fibers enter the light blocker.
