Dear Blair, Anthony, all,
Thanks a lot for the nice lis and I could try to see where I can contribute.
In the meanwhile, let me give some inputs that could be help in the future.
1) Please have a look at the ADC channels that are identified to have a bit-flip or high-pedestal problem. I put the latest version in the elog:
https://sphenix-intra.sdcc.bnl.gov/WWW/elog/Run+2024+Log/700
There are 4 channels in the emcal having this bit problem. One tower in the outer hcal has a high-pedestal despite a normal RMS. And 4 bit flip channels in the sepd.
2) As we are approaching close to timing in our detectors, I think it would be useful to even have a rough guess how the emcal and hcal response look like with the current trigger. The attached PDF file has the occupancy on MB Pythia simulation giving
a cut for emcal 30 MeV, ihcal 10 MeV, ohcal 50 MeV. It is really just a rough cut to have a basic idea.
If someone wants to take a closer look, I am happy to help or work together. As expected, most of the towers are empty in MB collisions.
More details on the general MB events studies can be found in an earlier presentation in the BulkTG : https://indico.bnl.gov/event/22533/contributions/88321/attachments/53076/90764/BulkTG_20240305.pdf
Best,
Jaebeom

Dear all,
Attached is the calo calibrations data-taking and run oriented task list. Let me and Anthony if you would like to sign up for any of these important tasks or have questions. We will quickly go through things on Monday as well.
Here is the introduction
IntroductionDocumented here are an important set of tasks related to the data-taking, commissioning, and important time-sensitive aspects of the reconstruction. Timely progress and quick response on these tasks will be necessary and should be taken into account when signing up. There are a subset of people who have been working very hard doing some or all of these things; the goal of this signup sheet is to have more clearly defined roles, spread out the workload, and allow for less expert people to develop skills in a specific area so they can make a concrete contribution to the calorimeter effort. If you are a relatively experienced sphenix analyzer but have mainly worked on MC-based or physics-type analysis, this may be a good opportunity to get involved with ensuring the basic calorimeter data is of the highest quality, which will make your life easier in the future.
