sPHENIX
as well as CMS.

The nuclear and particle physics group at Fudan University
invites applications for postdoctoral research associates to
work on sPHENIX and/or CMS.
For sPHENIX, the candidate is expected to contribute to
simulation studies and preparation for the first data analyses
with open heavy-flavor quarks and jets to understand the
properties of the quark-gluon plasma, as well as the
development of the electromagnetic calorimeter.
There is also a possibility to work about 50% on CMS if the
candidate wishes.
The candidate can be based at Fudan or BNL (when
COVID-19
restrictions are removed). Competitive international
level
salary will be supplied. Excellent candidates have
opportunities
to apply for the prestigious Chung-Yao Chao
Postdoctoral
Fellowship hosted by CAS Center for Excellence
in Particle
Physics as well as other fellowships.The initial
appointment
will be for two years and renewable based on
mutual
satisfaction and funding availability.
Eligible candidates should have a Ph.D. by the time of the
appointment, either in experimental nuclear or particle physics.
