Dear Jin,

 

My group, Detector Group at Canon Medical Research USA (CMRU), is looking for a Senior Scientist (entry or principal level will be considered too), participating the development of our next generation Photon-Counting spectral CT (PCCT) scanner!

 

It is a very exciting project as PCCT uses an emerging detector technology to identify the material composition of a patient and therefore fundamentally improves diagnostic quality with an extra dimension. In addition, the new detector also promises better spatial resolution and dose reduction compared to traditional CT.

 

Because the development of medical imaging system shares a lot of common knowledge and mindset with experimental nuclear and particle physics research, I think our position can be a good opportunity for physicists who want to continue research in an industrial environment.
