Friends,

As announced earlier we'll have the first of many sPHENIX general meetings this Friday, noon EST. Dave and I have prepared a draft agenda:

The agenda includes updates on the collaboration, project and EC election status, as well as a discussion on establishing a small number of "topical groups". The idea for these topical groups is to perform in-depth studies of the performance implications of various design choices for a small set of very specific physics observables. At the meeting we should discuss feedback on the general approach, but also suggestions for the number and specific topics for these groups.

Please let us know if there are any other topics/presentations that should be added. We could make room for one more short talk and put any other items on the agenda for the next meeting in two weeks.
