Hi folks,

new pull requests: One from Murad which had been pending for a while concerning his prototype implementation. It has no conflicts and the decision was to merge it in (done).

Mike added some code to use an initial guess for the vertex from an outside detector (bbc). This was merged and is already in our latest build. The required macro change was also committed. (reads, please refresh your macros and source the sphenix_setup.csh with -n to refresh your environment or logout and login again).

Haiwang reported about the experience with GenFit+Rave,. In the future Genfit will use the PHG4Hough tracking as seed, do a refit and use rave for vertexing. The refitted tracks will be stored in another container so the original track are still available. Currently we have a small compilation problem due to the use of an internal CLHEP in G4 and an external one used by Rave which are not compatible. Since there is a new G4 patch version out I'll take the opportunity to upgrade our G4 and sort out the CLHEP business (make G4 use the external CLHEP implementation). That should happen in the next 2 days.

Sanghoon showed first results using  Rave with tracks from Genfit and it looks good. Next step is to use the combined version (GFRave) which probably needs the above fix for the CLHEP versions. Next step would be to look at secondary vertices.

Simulations for the ALD charge: no real input. Just to get things going we'll start simulations using our standard macro which should give us the default configuration (please everyone involved - have a look if this is the case). Probably we'll run hijing for starters - it's the most complicated and will reveal problems in our setup.  We will certainly need this as baseline anyway.

Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that we will have a sPHENIX simulation and software meeting, Tue Apr 26, 1PM EST @ 2-219. Chris will lead the discussions.

Currently on agenda:
*	Production planning for ALD charge
*	Software update
*	Kalman filter and RAVE update from Haiwang Yu (NMSU)
More contributions are welcomed too.
