Friends,

We had a short discussion regarding the sPHENIX QM abstracts at the EC meeting. The consensus was to aim for a strong showing at QM, with a large number of posters and a small number of talk abstracts for the "Future Experimental Facilities, Upgrades and Instrumentation" parallel session. One could consider one talk on the tracking system and one on the calorimeter system, or one overall sPHENIX talk complemented by the posters - please comment.

We have collected the abstracts that were suggested so far on various sPHENIX mailing lists in this dropbox paper:

This does not yet include the proposed changes for some of the abstracts - the presenters should be able to make the corrections on the dropbox paper directly. 

In addition to the various instrumentation posters, it would be nice to also have at least one poster from each of the topical groups, showing the status of various physics studies (as already proposed for the b-jets). We suggest to add these abstracts, as well as text for those abstracts where we so far only have the title, directly to the dropbox paper. Again, let Gunther know if there are any technical problems.

If you have any comments on possible presenters, in particular for talks, please send them to Dave and Gunther. We hope to converge by Thursday, so that the final abstracts can be submitted by the Oct 1 deadline.
