Friends,
I have tried to collect all the suggestions on QM abstracts I saw on the various mailing lists on the dropbox paper:
There have been made good suggestions for abstracts, however 17 of those suggestions so far have only a title/topic but no actual abstract. With the deadline approaching, I hope the subsystem managers, various coordinators and topical group conveners
can try to organize writing of the actual abstracts for these posters.
Regarding talks, there are various proposals. The expectations discussed at the EC meeting (with experience from QM IAC members, who vote on the abstracts, and previous QM organizers) is that we could maybe hope to get 1-2, maybe 3 (??), sPHENIX
talks in the instrumentation session. It probably doesn't hurt to submit more abstracts for talks than that, but it is probably not a good strategy to submit talk abstracts with large overlap. We should carefully look at that once the text for all abstracts
has been finalized. We need to make some progress on this by tomorrow.
Cheers,
Gunther
