Abhisek, Jin, Megan, Virginia, Ron, and Vera,

Thank *you* for bringing this paper to completion. These beam tests have demonstrated the breadth and width of expertise this collaboration brings to designing and building the apparatus we'll need for sPHENIX, from simulation and analysis to mechanical and electrical engineering, from rigging steel plates into place to measuring the properties of the beam. But you have taken the last important step, which is to thoroughly and accurately prepare our results for publication so that detector designers of the future can benefit from all we have learned.

Thanks again... it's been a pleasure.

Dear Collaborators

Following the officialapproval, we are glad to report that the manuscript have been submitted to IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science and posted to arXiv (to be announced on Apr 6). We will keep track the review process and response to the review reports. The submission progress is tracked on our wiki: https://wiki.bnl.gov/sPHENIX/index.php/T-1044_publication#Paper_submission

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the construction, beam test and analysis of the 2016 calorimeter prototype. We also appreciate all the valuable comments we received during the last five iterations of internal reviews for the draft, which have been responded on wiki https://wiki.bnl.gov/sPHENIX/index.php/T-1044_publication#Paper_draft

Cheers

The T-1044 paper committee

Dear Collaborators,

In a presentation at last Friday's general meeting, Virginia Bailey gave an overview of the test beam analysis paper. As noted at that meeting, now that one week has elapsed since the provisionally final version of the manuscript was circulated to the collaboration, we are officially approving the manuscript to be submitted for publication. Congratulations!

Regards,
Dave and Gunther

Dear collaborators,

We are writing to send the submission-candidate of the first sPHENIX
calorimetry prototype paper, and to look for the collaboration’s
approval:

(username: sphenix password: babar1008)

First of all, we would like to thank you for all the useful comments
and suggestions to the last two collaboration releases (and before
that, comments from the calorimeter groups). These comments have
been tracked and responded in this wiki page:

https://wiki.bnl.gov/sPHENIX/index.php/T-1044_publication_collaboration_comments

As we have completed editing the paper, Dave and Gunther have
requested us to send this submission-candidate version to the
collaboration, and to report back to the next sPHENIX general
meeting on Mar 31st in order to request final approval.

In this final-approval stage, we will still welcome comments on
either typos in the paper, or on a major error. Since we have
completed two iterations of collaboration releases, we have been
advised to avoid further incremental improvement in the content, but
to finalize for submission. Once approved, the final paper will be
submitted to IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, and to arXiv.

Best regards,

The T-1044 paper committee

outgoing committee member Vera)
