Hi John and Ralf,

Thanks for the comments, I updated the slides at the same link.

One clarification for Ralf about the COMPASS plot: I left it in as I was planning on verbally saying that there are only constraints for transversity up to x~0.3, and that we will be able to measure at much higher x with forward sPHENIX.

Hi Joe,

Very nice talk. I agree with Ralf's comments on slide 10, and have a few additional comments:

slide 4 -  I would say "sPHENIX with forward instrumentation will be..."

slide 6 - you may keep in the backup the simulation studies that shows the jet source enhancement with the +/- leading hadron cuts. I'm not sure the audience will fully understand the measurement without these.

slide 7 - I like this a lot, and I think it is important to point out that STAR jets are EM-triggered and therefore have biases for this measurement that may be hard to sort out.  Having full calorimetry in the forward region is key for this.

slide 11 - Christine has a modified version of this plot in her PAC talk that I like - the additional arrows and regions make the point about the kinematic region covered very nicely in a visual way. Consider replacing this plot with Christine's version.

slide 16 - label the plots "central-forward" and "central-central" to make the difference clear at a glance

slide 20 - second bullet "SPHENIX with forward instrumentation.."; same for bullet 3.  I know it is wordy but I think it is important to distinguish between the sPHENIX baseline and sPHENIX with additional forward instrumentation.

Dear sPHENIX Colleagues,

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My talk is on Tuesday June 20, and I have a total of 30 minutes. I plan to talk for 20-25 minutes leaving some time for questions and discussion.

Thanks,

Joe Osborn
