Friends,

Another speaker invitation for sPHENIX, this time for CIPANP'18 in Indian Wells. Please let us know if you are interested in giving this talk (or nominate one of your colleagues).

Best,

Gunther and Dave

Dear Gunter,
I’m helping the quark matter/heavy ion conveners with the scheduling of their sessions
at the Conference on the Intersection of Particle and Nuclear Physics.   We are
missing a talk on sPHENIX, including its physics goals.   Would the collaboration be
able to identify a speaker for us?   The session in question is on Saturday, June 2.
The meeting's HI sessions are concentrated in the period Thursday-Saturday.

CIPANP is a long-running meeting that typically draws about 300 particle,
nuclear, and astrophysicists.   The plenary program is posted on the website.  The dates of
the meeting are May 29-June 3, and the venue is the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, near
Palm Springs.  The meeting is usually a lot of fun because of the variety of physics presented:
some of the plenary highlights are new results on parity violation, the 22cm line from
the first stars, a special neutron star merger session, new results on the proton radius,
final results from QWeak, and a public talk by Barry Barish.
                 Best, Wick  (Organizing Committee Chair)
