sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Dear collaborators,

We're really looking forward to seeing you in person starting tomorrow
(and hearing from those who can't be here).  A few logistics:

In lieu of a formal collaboration dinner we will have a collaboration
BBQ on Tuesday at noon out at Bldg. 1008 – aka the sPHENIX experimental
hall.  We're asking scientists to contribute $25 to cover the cost of
the lunch, which should be enough to defray the costs for students,
postdocs, and technicians.

Since the RHIC run is still ongoing, people without the requisite
training will need to be escorted out to Bldg 1008 – not a problem,
we've done this before – but please see Erica Lamar in the lobby of the
Large Seminar Room tomorrow morning to contribute to the lunch fund and
possibly to sign a list to be escorted out to the RHIC ring.

There will be a Juniors' event on Tuesday evening, also in the lobby of
the Large Seminar Room.  As the collaboration meeting gets underway,
we'll be asking for a show of hands by those who plan to attend the
Juniors' event so enough pizza can be tracked down and trucked to the event.
