> On comment 3) On slide 13: What is definition of the secondary vertex mass?

 

That is the invariant mass reconstructed using the 4-vector momentum of particles of charged tracks associated with the secondary displaced vertex within the jet. In this particular version of secondary vertex mass, which we call corrected secondary vertex mass, it also taking into account possible missing neutrino contribution in order to enhance the charm signal with a sharper peak. It was also evaluated at the charm jet working point.

 

The slides is a bit too busy to write those on the slides. Nevertheless, I will explain it in the presentation.

A couple of comments:

 

1. On slide 6:  the design requirement of DCA and p/(delta p) should be emphasized In later slides when the physics capabilities are introduced.
2. On slide 13: “a optimal” -> “an optimal”
3. On slide 13: What is definition of the secondary vertex mass?
