Dear collaborators,

A number of us will be in transit from the Hard Probes 2018 meeting in Aix-les-Bains at which the collaboration was very well represented in talks by Songkyo Lee, Jin Huang and Gunther Roland. There will also be a review of the revision to the SAMPA chip on Friday from 11am-1pm ET. We've tried to work around these conflicts, but in the end we've decided to cancel the sPHENIX general meeting scheduled for Friday October 5. That being said, there are a number of important, time-sensitive efforts underway - the sPHENIX/EIC LOI, the inner detector optimization task force, updates on logistics for the December collaboration meeting at FSU, and updates on plans to procure staves and readout units for the MVTX. We will work on a way to update the collaboration about these developments in lieu of this Friday's meeting.
