sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Dear Collaborators,

As we further develop the collaboration structure we are looking for members 
of two important committees. As proposed by the DE&I committee at the 
collaboration meeting and discussed in the recent GM, we should formalize the 
integration of the  code-of-conduct/collaboration values statements with our 
bylaws, and study if the related procedures laid out in the bylaws are 
adequate. We will form a committee to work with members of the DE&I committee 
on this task.

In Spring 2017 we implemented a relatively light-weight publication policy. 
Like for the speaker's bureau established in 2019 we should establish a 
publication board to oversee preparation, review and publication of technical 
and physics publications. We will start by forming a committee to review and 
propose updates for the publication policy and structure for the publication 
board. 

We are looking for volunteers and nominations for both committee's  - this is 
a great opportunity for collaborators familiar with these procedure and 
structures in other collaborations to help sPHENIX learn from best practices. 

Any nominations received prior to the March 5 general meeting would be 
particularly helpful.
