Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

As you heard at the General Meeting on Friday, the sPHENIX construction and installation projects are officially complete.  Of course, we all understand that there is a *lot* of work ahead of us before we'll be taking physics data, but this is still a gargantuan accomplishment.  Accordingly, BNL's public affairs team has published an article about sPHENIX being ready for collisions.  You can find it here:

https://www.bnl.gov/newsroom/news.php?a=221191

If you have sharp eyes - or in my case, recently cleaned glasses - you'll notice Cameron Dean (MIT) in the triptych at the top of the article.

In addition, there is a developing plan for a celebration - with food! - out at Bldg. 1008 this Friday.  We can thank John Haggerty and Stefan Bathe for the initiative, and ALD Haiyan Gao for the support, to make this happen.  The details are still being thought through, so be sure to keep your Friday afternoon open.

Regards,
Dave and Gunther
