Hi all,
Since this abstract overlaps with another, we have reworked it to be more specific to what Mirella has worked one.
Thanks,

Stability of the Outer Hadronic Calorimeter in the sPHENIX Experiment Au+Au 2023 Run
Mirella Lajos
Collisions of relativistic heavy ions produce temperatures high enough to create a quark-gluon plasma (QGP), a state of matter not seen since the early universe. sPHENIX, the most recent experiment added to the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory, is used to study the QGP. The calorimeter system of the detector, which includes in order or increasing radius the electromagnetic calorimeter, the inner hadronic calorimeter, and the outer hadronic calorimeter, can measure the energy of particles that emerge from the Au+Au collisions. Light produced in the calorimeters are read out by Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs). SiPMs gains are affected by radiation damage and temperature. Any variation of these could affect the raw ADC distributions. In this poster, we study how stable the outer hadronic calorimeter is through the 2023 Au+Au commissioning run.

Hi all,One of my students, Mirella Lajos, would like to submit an abstract for the CEU at DNP on some work she has been doing on the commissioning. Abstracts are due Wednesday August 2 by 5 PM.
