The Authorship Committee is finishing up the work of compiling the first author list of sPHENIX. A few people were denied authorship for the moment, mostly for not having taken the DEI training. On August 10, we notified the people whose names were submitted for authorship but will not be included in the list. According to the Authorship Policy, those notifications must come at least two weeks before the author list is made public, so the author list could be released on August 24 at the earliest.

The list of institutions that have submitted their authorship reports is below. Those reports were due on July 17. We request that the institutions that wish to have authors but are not on this list please submit their reports ASAP. If your institution is not on this list, your name is not on the current version of the author list.

We would like to reiterate that becoming an sPHENIX author requires both sPHENIX service work (defined in the Authorship Policy) and completion of the DEI training. Note that fulfilling your shift quota is separate from the service work obligation, and performing physics data analysis is not a qualifying service task.
