Hi folks,
Thanks for joining us. Minutes are posted on the Indico page (

Physics Coordination Meeting, 3 November 2023,
https://indico.bnl.gov/event/21030/
Sasha L - Production System
—
Slide 3 - one day for full pass of all data with detailed template fitting
Anthony H - Production Details
—
Zhaozhong: from MVTX side, want to analyze MBD+ZDC data from Run-23.
-> See the linked directories - filenames have run numbers and production tag. In the near future, will set up more infrastructure with pandas, file catalog, etc.
Raghav: what should be done for papers in progress?
-> Eventually move to new productions. Data structure will remain the same, so should be plug and play.
Ejiro: question about selection criteria in scripts.
-> Still in flux.
JaeBeom: clarification of RHIC2023-sPHENIX-CALOR contents
-> p001 is a test production with towers only, p002 is another test production, this latest production will eventually appear as p003 ( immediately available at Sasha’s link here: /sphenix/lustre01/sphnxpro/commissioning/DSTv3 ). Sasha L: note that at the moment, this directory contains pandas and also manual production output.
-> TODO: mailing list / TWiki announcement for data production.
Blair: ran jet reconstruction over these, but didn’t work due to lack of global vertex map
-> Global vertex map should be there in the near future. Joe just merged new vertex stuff.
-> Who is a good jet contact? Virginia.
Justin: what is the fixed timing cut?
-> Only for plots on Slide 4, not on by default in DST production.
Dan L - centrality calibration
—
Follow up offline with MBD group on details of checking calibration, next steps on timing/vertex. This is a key technical issue for the Collaboration.
Ejiro: on slide 6 - let’s follow up on Mattermost.
How to propagate to analyzers?
-> MinBias classifier object, then CentralityInfo gives percentile (& geometric quantities). Calibration has run by run overall calibration on MB
Slide 8: some of the big outliers are just magnetic field runs, could also be very different trigger configurations.
