The options for low/high power testing I would like to discuss on Wednesday are:
1) Low power test with the magnet where it is and supported by the shipping cradle. The issues I see with this plan is that it requires that the Lead Box be removed to move the magnet for the High Power test set-up (or maybe the Lead Box could be supported from the magnet and then only external connections would have to be removed). So one question is how much labor/cost/risk is involved with removing the Lead Box? This plan also requires the magnet to be warmed up one additional time. 2) Low power test with the magnet supported on a steel base which would become the base of the return steel for a high power test. The issues I see with this plan is to develop the plan for the entire return steel well enough to be confident in putting down the base steel and the labor/cost to assemble the base and magnet supports.

Hi,
I’d like to have a sPHENIX meeting this Wed. (Feb. 25, 2015) at the usual time/location (1 pm at the 902A conference room) to discuss about at least the following burning subjects :
Documents from Babar ( how to handle them … Acceptance/Inspection needs them …) Acceptance / inspection --- are we about to start doing this ? Dave Phillips’ plan and concern for the low/high power test
