Cryo:
It looks like we've got great progress today and the cryo is almost done.  When I was there some minutes ago, only a return shield valve (the shield for the
valvebox ~30K in temperature, depending on the flow) was not done and some plugs/wires were not connected from the LN2 tank to pipeline ...

Roberto Than/Paul Orfin told me that they may start pumping down either tonight or tomorrow morning ...

The ERL line is cut --- Roberto showed me in the ERL cave which was the first time that I entered there --- and they'll do the first welding tomorrow.

Pat Talty is still busy with CeC and hopefully/maybe he can start checking something for the sPHENIX Magnet system.  When we can start cooling down
is probably hinged on when he can get the system to go ...

[  In the background, Tom Tallerico is pushing the company to ship the Contactor for the SLAC turbo pumps .. it's now scheduled to arrive on Thursday
after Tom pushed very hard to get them to ship "UPS red from Laredo Texas". ]

Strain Gauge:

In the weekend, Paul Giannotti couldn't get inside 912 as either door was closed or there was yellow tape preventing him from getting access. 
He was working on the strain gauge and he claimed that he'd work until the midnight if necessary :-)  

DAQ/Power Supply: 

Sonny told me that he's done and he's ready for Dennis Donaldson to come to do the electrical checking.  Piyush can always do more runs/test
with his software ...

Work permit:
Writing here, I remember the work permit and I'm checking with Mel.  His boss has wanted him to finish before the walkthrough :-)
[  People will only finish just before the deadline ... and setting "deadlines" is the only things to get things done :-) ]
