Agenda/powerpoint: https://indico.bnl.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=1745 1. The Cryo group personnel (P. Orfin et. al.) are still chasing leaks and we're waiting for them to finish fixing the leaks and then do the OFFICIAL pressure test/leak check with M. Gaffney. Pat Talty has started to work for sPHENIX Magnet, even though he's back to CeC today to start cooling over there ... Because of too high current output from the PLC (250 mA instead of 20 mA), two cards were damaged. They got one spare and have ordered new one(s) which should come on Friday. 2. Sonny and Co. are still waiting for the pressure test/leak check to finish to perform the hypot test/impulse test. 3. At 4 pm today, Piyush and Paul Giannotti will try to turn on the strain gauge PC to perform simultaneous data logging to two PC's simultaneously. 4. Joe Muratore has agreed to check on the strain gauge measurements during the cool down. ( I've sent Joe the strain gauge measurements in a separate emails. ) 5. There is still a possibility that we may start cooling down Friday night ... so that we can make use the long weekends (3 days including the President's Day on Monday, Feb. 15). If not, it's just as soon as the Cryo group can make it happen ........... 6. We examine support-rod rotating procedure as in the pre-test Traveler with Paul Kovach. After the meeting, Dave and I found Ray Ceruti and he told us that they had done this already when they first received the Solenoid Magnet. |
