Hi,

The Power Supply has been finally moved to its spot next to the Return Flux Steel Box as you may see from this picture that I just took several minutes ago:

https://collab.external.bnl.gov/sites/sPHENIX-Magnet/Pictures/High%20Field%20Test/2017-8-18%20Power%20Supply%20installed%20in%20place.jpg

you can also see people are working to install steels.   I understand that one steel was found to be missing 4 holes and so yesterday they had to drill/tap them.

On another note, it’s LUCKY that the sPHENIX Power Supply (that Pablo has refurbished for ~a year) was moved away from its original 912 highbay area.

Because if not, that area was now flooded as you may see from the picture attached.   The shop next door was flooded, too.    Not just there, but elsewhere in Bldg. 912,

water are dripping from the ceiling to various places including a few areas with power switches.  I informed PK Feng for the area near the bathroom in the northern end of Bldg. 912.  The leakage was serious and was kind of just on top of some power switches etc.    Even the entrance from the old MCR area in Bldg. 911 to Bldg. 912 was flooded.  There was fire alarm affected (probably also got damaged by water).

Anyway, our spot of testing seems to be dry, at least relatively speaking J

From your earnest reporter,

Kin
