Hi Paul, Just to let you (and others) know: After I checked that there is no longer a "short" between channels 3 and 82, Peter Oddo helped reconnect channels 5 and 81 that we disconnected on Feb. 6, 2018. And now, we went back to using constant current source to measure the voltage (and therefore strain) accurately. This is the better way if there is no short. Peter Oddo also needed strip a wire on channel one for the current source (as Paul Giannotti cut off the bare strands outside the plastic sheath on Feb. 6, 2018). [ TS03 is back to "NOP" (non-operational) as it used to be. Because one of the 4 wires for current transmission for this gauge was long broken but we could use TS03 if we just want to measure the resistance. ] The LogView started to read normal small values of strains ~11:55:53 (this morning).
