I don’t remember all the details regarding the mounting of the heat shield shipping restraints, but maybe we documented the procedure for preparing the magnet for shipping from SLAC. From my Pro/E model of the magnet there are 3 places on each end of  the  heatshield where we push axially with the shipping restraints. That means we need 6. I think someone should look for the procedure that we used to prepare the magnet for shipping to verify that we need 3 more. Let me know what you want to do.

Hi,

I've just talked with Jim about this.  I think you can treat this as a part of your "transport tool" work.   [ In the meeting, we're feeling that it may be a few thousand dollars.  Paul Kovach
--- whom I just called and talked to --- can't be sure as he doesn't remember what it looks like :-)  ]

So, please just use 16717.

And in today's meeting, when we discussed about your "transport tool" work (in WBS 2.8.2), it seems that people think that it'd be good to start working on this.  ( In the schedule, it's
meant to start in Feb. 2018 or so.   )     Can you please put this task into your schedule (eg. in the queue of Paul Kovach's works)  ??   Of course, this is charged to 16717.

[  Just realized .... I'll ask Cris Manalo to allow Paul to charge this account.  I assume he's not charged this account before.   This account can be used for both labor and materials.  ]

What account number should be used for fabricating the parts?

Thanks

Dear Paul,

As I've mentioned to you 10 minutes ago, Dave Phillips found that we have found only 3 pieces of "heat shield support for transport" and there
should be 6.   I understand that it's your design.

Can you remake 3 more for us ??    Dave said that he'd take a picture and show it to you/us tomorrow.

Kin
