We had the meeting and here are the minutes for your use:

 

Present:  Tom T., Carl S., Ray C., Paul O., Roberto T., Brian S., Mike A.

 

Tentative Schedule:

 

Beginning January 2019 – Rigging to set up blocks for VB storage, Carpenters to remove wood decking on platform, Electricians to remove 535 MCM cable (if needed, Carl will check)

 

Mid-January 2019 – Disconnect and remove V/B – SMD techs, riggers, cryo (~2-3 days)

 

End of February 2019 – Start repairs – Carl et al.

 

Ray will take pictures as he goes during the disassembly, video will be taken for the 5 mil indium spacer removal that separates the buss.  Tom T. volunteered his Go-Pro if needed.  We could use lab videographers.  This should be sorted out prior to the start of the VB removals.

 

Need to pick location for the VB storage in B912.

 

Need to make estimate of how much storage space is needed for part – pallet/box.  This should go out to B1008 and be under the control of Carter Biggs (sPHENIX).

 

Try to have meeting before the holiday break in December to finalize plan.

Hi Kin,

 

I hope you feel better.  I have had a cold for over a week.  I think we are all getting sick.  :-) 

 

No problem about the meeting tomorrow.  I can fill you in on what is discussed.  The same holds true for the afternoon meeting if you find that you just want to stay home.  I can go and take notes and fill you in on this meeting as well.  Just let me know.

Hi,

 

I would like to propose that we restart our PHENIX Cryo/IP/Infrastructure Interface meetings.  For our meeting on Wednesday, 11/14, let’s catch up on the following:

 

1. Current design of the cradle/carriage system, including platforms, stairs, and pole tips (Jon can you provide slides of our latest layout please).
2. Cryo piping design layout both inside and outside the IR, including latest concept of the new valve box arrangement on the platform (Roberto, Paul, and Bob can you please provide your latest layout of the cryo runs both inside and outside 1008).
3. Current thoughts of rack locations on the upper, mid, and lower levels of the platform (Mickey and John, could you please provide the current rack layout).
4. Current thoughts on tray routing, water, and power (Paul can you please put together your tentative plans for cable tray routing).

 

 

At a near-future meeting I think we should also start talking about a system-wide global grounding plan that will need to be folded into some of our current designs; for example grounding/electrically insulating the cradle carriage.
