Hello Paul Kovach and all,

 

Attached please find a proposed interface document from C. Pontieri.

I was trying to my due diligence of checking the dimensions in the box, before I say “I approve”.

 

I’ve checked the dimensions 12” and 6.5” against Wuzheng’s model (which gathered all the information from all the engineers) and they

seem to be very consistent.

 

But I don’t have any document that shows me the diameter of the valve box extension being 8.63” ??   Does anybody have a drawing

or anything which shows this dimension ?

Subject: Interface Sign off for End Cap PRR

 

Hi All

In preparing for the PRR for the End Caps the group came across an interface that we felt we needed to define and place into the Interface Control Document SP.SE.ICD.015 MAG/INF.  This email is intended to make you aware of such interfaces as well as get your sign off that you are aware of the interface and that we have made the proper provisions to accommodate that interface.

 

Description of interface: (See attached ppt slide)

The interface is between the End Caps and the Beam Pipe on the North and South end, as well as, the Valve box extension on the South End.  Attached is a ppt slide that shows the dimensions of the openings in the End Cap, and the dimensions of the objects coming through those openings.  The engineering/design team for the End Caps is confident they have allowed enough clearance for these interfaces.
