Hi,

From my communication below with Paul Orfin, it seems that the Helium system spools 1..4 have been installed from the 1008B through the west wall penetration of 1008 (IR).

I heard from Jim Mills that the west wall cryo deck is being constructed by the vendor and some other components by BNL … The cryo deck may be available next week and

we can install spool #5 then.

Yes, it is supported from the outside shielding block and external metal supports.  It hangs out of the west wall penetration.

Hi,

Just a question out of my ignorance:

So, #4 is already installed even without the cryo deck ???

4 is welded to #3 already.  #4 has caps on the end so we can do a pressure test on the first 4 lines till the cryo deck is installed.  This way we can keep working.

Hi,

Thanks.  We probably randomly mention #5 …  I’m wondering whether you’ll do spool #4 first (as it’s partly in and partly out of the 1008 building) …

I am waiting to hear from procurement on the LN2.  I sent questions to her last week.

We will be ready to get spool #5 once the platform is installed and approved for usage.  We are working on getting all the other lines going in the meantime.

Hi,

Have you decided whether the LN2 project bidder is acceptable or not ??

This morning, Jim Mills is saying (in our Division meeting) that the cryo deck is being constructed and may be done next week and we should start thinking about installing the spool #5 (?).
