Hi Carl,
This is the crash button in the Control Room for the magnet (in addition to one on the platform and another on the floor of the 1008 IR).
In addition to Joel’s pictures, I took a picture of the Rack 5 (“PCR 5” in the picture “Rack 5 in Control Room.jpg”) that Joel told me that our crash button should be. For the other end, I took a picture of the panel “Panel in 1008B (first floor).jpg” (which is closed ---I needed to use a screw driver to open it) on 1008B first floor. It’s almost directly below your Quench Detector Rack in the mezzanine.
Carl (and I) are purchasing the buttons.

Hi Kin,
We have a multiconductor (37C – 18AWG). We verified the run from control room to 1008B for you. Does one pair of wires work for you?

Hi Joel,
I just chatted with John again and John said that you may be able to answer this question/help. You remember that we need a crash button in the sPHENIX Control Room for the sPHENIX Magnet (in addition to one on the platform and another on the floor in 1008 IR).
Do you already have an existing connection (just one and only one) between 1008B and Control Room that we may just use ? Otherwise, it’s difficult to pull a cable from the Control Room to 1008B ourselves.
