Carl (and I) measured the resistances again for the 4 water-cooled-buses.  I attach the picture (with the results).  Now,  the Return pair seems to have ~10 Mohm and the Supply pair seems to have ~15 Mohm.

So, since the overall resistance is probably like 5 Mohm, our 520 V hipot would have around 100 micro-amp leakage current --- our hipot prediction 🙂     

We got the washers today (which I delivered to 1008B this morning) and nuts yesterday.  And as you can see below, the mechanical techs have re-connected those cables (that we disconnected a couple days ago)

this afternoon --- as I just came to check myself in 1008B mezzanine.   And they have also disconnected the braids on the platform.  Therefore, Carl and I would come in tomorrow to do a hipot for the water-cooled-buses.

Subject: the MCM cables in 1008B mezzanine all re-connected !

 

Hello Rob and Fred,

I am at 1008B mezzanine and I've just checked.  It seems that Matt (?) has finished connecting all the MCM cables that we removed a couple days ago for measuring resistance !

Please let me know if you know something that I can't see 🙂   He's also removed the braids on the platform.

( Carl and I actually somehow met with Matt  in 1008B mezzanine this afternoon.   Carl gave his "instructions" to Matt with a sketch and demonstration for how to use the new nuts, 

washers in the way that Carl considers as the best way🙂

Please help us say "thank you" to him.

So tomorrow, Carl and I can do the hipot.
