Hi Pablo,

Sorry for the previous incomplete message.

Early in the morning, because of some doubt of Carl (after reading the new/temporary LOTO instructions attached to that box to go up to the platform), I called Eric Johanssen and he agreed that we could do the hipot as we planned. ( I also talked with Joel and Tom. )

It took Carl a while (in both 1008 platform and 1008B) to understand what he measured by fluke meter.  Carl forgot he put a jumper between two voltage taps when the Current Lead voltage taps were not connected.  Carl said that this is why we do hipot 😁

We also asked CAS (Ron Walker) to help disconnect the snubber circuits.

At the end, under the rain, the 520 V hipot (for the entire system) passed with 65 microamp leakage current → ~ 8 Mohm.

I put the switch back to "grounded" in the dump resistor (as I switched it to "ungrounded" for hipot).  I reconnected J6 cable back as I disconnected it earlier.  Ron put the snubbers (and that small relay we took out) back.  So , everything was back to where it was.  Except that I left the contactors in the "opened" state (it was "closed" when I first arrived).

On Monday, Carl has a medical appointment.  He will be at the Lab. around/at 11 am.

Carl requests:

1. Please don't "force" the quench detector into the "good" state when you do compensation, as everything is real now.  I left it running in good state.

2. Carl asks that you don't go above 500 amp before he comes to BNL .  He wants to check the quench detector (and He gas flow in the Leads).

I hope you can accommodate him 😀

Today, I arrived before 12 pm and now it's almost 4 pm.  Carl was probably here soon after 11 am.

Kin
