Hi,

From 8:04 am this morning, CAS, Carl and I (in 1008B Mezzanine) ramped up the Magnet at 1.5 A/s --- which is the "straight slope section" and there are initial and ending

rising stages, we stopped at setpoints 500 A, 1000 A, 2000 A, 3000 A, and 4000 A for about 2 minutes each and finally reached 4620.6 A (which gave DCCT Magnet current ~4596 A)

at about 9:21 am.

It went without problem. Carl even further change the inner coil and outer coil voltage/inductance ratio --- a small minor teak in the quench detection system, to get the

Coil Difference to closer to 0.

After that, Cryo (Roberto and Brian) did some tunning to change their setpoints so that the gas-cooled voltages are around 35 mV --- the threshold that Carl allowed them.

(50 mV is the quench threshold. ) After they finished, we did slow discharge/ramp-down at 10:07 am. At ~10:59, Brandon (CAS) walked to the Dump Resistor and

pushed a button to open the contactors for the Dump Resistor and this triggered a fast-discharge.

Coming down to 1008 Control Room ( from 1008B ), I had called Frank and Mariana to let them know that we're done ... so that we may prepare for the Magnet Mapper

installation before the CERN mapper team arrives Sunday/Monday. CAS had already LOTO-ed out the Power Supply and put the LOTO box in the Control Room.

Frank et. al. are already starting to take actions except there are some safety discussion going on ....
