Hi,

After replacing the probes and closing the pole-tip door, when I have just started to ramp up the magnet, Nicola (CERN team) came to the sPHENIX Control Room

asked me to stop. I did. They found that a belt was broken (so that they can't move the mapper). So, just some minutes after we closed the pole-tip door, we needed

to open the door again.

It turned out that a couple other things needed repairing and we lent them the solder iron/solders ... It tooks like ~2 hours to fix. The pole-tip doors were just closed and bolted. We have figured that if we start ramping and start a 10-hour run, we won't finish until 3 am. ( And if we want to ramp down the magnet, we may need another hour. )

For that, we have decided to start ramping and mapping tomorrow (Sat.) at 8 am. Frank Toldo and his colleagues and CAS have already done all is necessary.
