Hi,

I attach John's plot of the magnetic field from the raw data that he made last night.  Though there isn't a coordinate, x-coordinate is like the beam-axis from one side to another.

Their x/y/z's are in local coordinate system of the probe and the two sets of probes of facing oppositely (so one side -B
and the other +B).

Bx is like Bz (along the beam-axis).  Bz is like Bphi (small) and By is like Br where it changes signs at the center of the magnet.

Nicola,

I copied over the files after I got home and the scan is completed, and as far as I can see, it's only the probe that reads 0 and the one that read 2 T are weird.

The bad probes seem to be this one:

"19": {
"a1": -219,
"a2": 159,
"a3": -651,
"b1": 0.0010065233686261973,
"b2": -0.000443075910030347,
"b3": 0.0006741165944615618,
"tAdc": 3712014,
"tConv": 16.575045543553273,
"probeID": "1F0000000BD9DC3A",
"probeName": "CRN160"
},

and this one:

"18": {
"a1": 395683,
"a2": -169335,
"a3": -8388608,
"b1": 2.7542683140682906,

"tConv": 16.68391450045914,
"probeID": "B20000000D56DC3A",
"probeName": "CRN155"
},

18 and 19... could be a pattern.

Also, I forgot that I have a dentist appointment at 8am on Friday, so I won't be in until about 9:30.

Thanks John!

I see there's an outlier in every plot, could you identify it? I'm
setting up some analysis as well...

Cheers

Nicola,

The raw data that I can see looks good to me... I see what must be the

radial component being quite large and changing sign in the middle, a
small phi component, and a central field of just about 1.4.

Hi, I'm monitoring,

We just started the 600 mm step (it started from 4000, finishing at
100), so I would say 10ish is still a reasonable estimate... I'll
let
you know however as soon as it's done,

Cheers

Hi Nicola and all,

Just checking ... do you think you will finish around 10 pm ?? Any
newest estimate ?
