Hi Ron,
Thanks ! ( I called to talk with Ron for a couple minutes … )
So now, we understand completely what’s happened on Dec. 8. ( From the Pump room website: http://wsgserver.c-ad.bnl.gov/FTVP/ViewPoint.aspx?area=&cmd=%22Phenix%20PS%22&prev=Main&preparam= , I see that the temperature is still 70+ F or so. )
Ron implied to me that he might turn those PLC/PSI back on again in the next week …

Kin,
The PLC and PSI were On and functioning after Nov. 14. This is the reason you continued to get water-cooled-buss temperatures. On December 8th, I shut down the PLC and PSI to lock out the breakers, so as to enter the supply. This is the reason you no longer have temperature data.
Happy Holidays Best,
Ron

Hi Tim and Pablo,
We shut down the Power Supply on Nov. 14 (after your one-day) test. I was the last one who left, after Ron Walker shut off the power supply.
Please take a look at the water-cooled-bus water temperature. The temperatures have been ~23 C or so until Dec. 8, 2022.
Do you understand this ? Is it that you didn’t shut off something (PLC ? … but how can it be ) until Dec. 8, 2022 ??

All AC power is locked out in power supply, thermistors get there power from PS.

Hi,
The water in the water-cooled-bus (WCB) for sPHENIX Magnet should be running ? I see water temp. ~ 0 ?
The magnet is not used but there is still water in (WCB) ?

The scaling looks right to me. The system should be warm now, correct?
Maybe something is disconnected or the sensor only operates over a certain range? Whatever changed happen on 12/8 at 14:34.
I'm cc-ing Pablo, hoping that he can provide some info. From: Yip, Kin <kinyip AT bnl.gov>
Hi,
I just try to check the water-cooled-bus water temperature. It seems to be showing ~ 0 C. I guess it's not, right ? Need a FE reset or something ??
