Yasser - In the "Check and Fuse GBTx0" title, it is in fact programmed as a "0", not an "o". I'm not sure why latex is interpreting it this way. I have fixed figure 9, though.

Jo - My apologies. I misunderstood what you meant. I believe I have fixed the arrow in this new version (attached). If not, please let me know. Your other two bullet points have been tended to.

Best,
Austin

I noticed that a couple of our suggestions weren’t making it into you latest version:

  • The green arrow in Figure 3 for “control” should be bi-directional
  • Under “Check and Fuse…” GBTx1 and GBTx2 are not fused, but are programmed by the main FPGA during boot”
  • “select-map” -> “SelectMap”

Hi Austin,

Nice, just one minor comment:

  1. Fig. 1 , typo  “IINT” à “INTT”

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments. I have fixed the majority of them and attached the pdf to this email. The two that I haven't fixed are below...

Yasser - "During short loopback test do we check the orange fiber path in Fig 7?"

I have emailed Jo to verify whether we do or not.

Ming - "you may want to increase the text font size, well that also means you may need to reduce the text .. "

I'd be happy to reduce the text, but everything I have included seems relevant to me. If you (or anyone else) has suggestions for what I could cut out, please let me know.

Best regards,

Austin

Hi Austin,

A nice poster! Two additional suggestions to consider:

  1. Figure 1, the mechanical sideview is from very old design, you can get the final design from here, pages 8, 9, 10

https://www.phenix.bnl.gov/WWW/publish/mxliu/sPHENIX/GenMeetings/2019/MVTX-Overview-Collaboration-Mtg-11012019-v2.pptx

  1. Your presentaiton will be online, right? To show them clearly on the computer screen, you may want to increase the text font size, well that also means you may need to reduce the text ..

Cheers,

Ming

Hi Austin,

The poster looks very nice. Please find below some suggestion:

General comments:

 - Add a space between colon (:) and caption in the Figures. e. g., Figure 1:Cutaway view ... -> Figure 1: Cutaway view ...

- I would add Figure or Fig. when referring a figure instead just the number,  [4] -> [Fig. 4]

Fig. 3:

 the point end of internal RU (black) arrows in the VTRx are opposite to the signal highlighted out the dash line box. The bottom arrow is input and top is output.

the control signal is bidirectional, but it  uses both VTRx  fibers.

Fig. 6 and 7:

- use same color notation for arrows on both figures. During short loopback test do we check the orange fiber path in Fig 7?

Conclusion:

- last bullet point to a wrong figure....

Cheers,

Yasser.
