Hi Jo and all,

This is fantastic news, congratulations!

About one possibly broken cable –

Is this the SamTec-cable-04 which as a broken latch at PP3 or a different cable? See attached photo.

Cheers,

Ming

All cables in the MVTX detector have been tested, and all but one data cable to a stave look OK.

We are unable to communicate with one of the staves. The cable from the electronics rack on the platform in 2E1 to patch panel PP3 in the bore had a bad connector on it that has been replaced by Cameron, but unfortunately, this didn’t fix the problem.

We can currently not access PP3 until Friday. Once we have access again, we will check the connection at PP3 to determine if the problem is there.

In the process we also tested all Readout Units and Power Units for their correct installation and functionality and fixed all issues with those.

All of the CAEN power supplies seem to be correctly hooked up and functional. We tested the (PLC based) interlocks and found that all LV supplies seem to be interlocked correctly, and respond to temperatures out of range in the staves. The one interlock system yet to be completed is the supplies for the BackBias voltage, which will be completed in the next couple of days (needed to assemble some new patch cables for those interlocks).

Best,

Jo
